were we were judged and were visited by mystery shoppers, scrutinising our
Customer Service, our Product Range, Our Product Knowledge, and of course
Value for money which we offer our customers........
We passed with flying colours, beating off competition from Independant
Hardware shops across the U.K. and Northern Ireland, to scoop this top award.
But we are not complacent, we will keep listening to our customers,
and we will improve where ever we can, continue adding new product lines,
and of course driving down our prices, to to be one of the most competitive around.
We believe that you the customer deserve to have a well stocked hardware store, with good
old fashioned service, while still offering good value for money, and to have all this
right on your door step. Also to have a real alternative to the 'cloned' DIY multiples.

Service
At Abbotts you don`t have to wait all day to be served, you also don`t have to 'hunt' around the
store to find someone to help you. At Abbotts we put YOU, the customer first.
Pricing, ordering and other shop duties always come second, we understand that you are busy
and don`t want to be waiting around for someone to eventally help you. As well as speedy we
are also as helpful as possible. In the rare occasions that we don`t have what you want,
we will do our best to either order it in for you, or point you in the direction of
another retailer who may stock this item. We will also endeavour to help you in
whatever way possible, and offer a free delivery service. Choice
We know that times and tastes change therefore we are always updating and changing our
ranges to accommodate this. Tony, Viv, Chris & Jeff Abbott, go to various trade shows
all over the country throughout the year looking for new and improved lines.
Over the years we have expanded our store many times so we can offer our customers a good selection of products in different sizes, shapes and colours, and of course prices.
We offer value, quality and professional products so we can suit all tastes and budgets as well.
Knowledge We have a wealth of experience and knowledge to pass onto our customers gained
from many years in the trade;before having the shop Tony was in the building trade; with this practical knowledge and expertise he is happy to advice customers what products
are best suited to the job in hand and how best to accomplish the task. However we are not complacent; again we know times, tastes and products change, thats one of the reasons
we attend various trade shows learning new products, and exciting new ways to solve
various DIY problems. We have also become a Dulux Colour & Advice Centre,
where staff have gone on extensive training, in product knowledge, problem solving, interior design and colour co-ordination. We are always happy to help wherever possible,....
Value We constantly check our prices against local and national retailers and aim to have our prices
amongst the lowest around, we are backed up by two of the biggest DIY buying groups in the UK,
and as a result negotiate the best buying prices which enables us to pass this on to our customers........ We are always running various in-store and soon on-line promotions, giving our customers even bigger savings on everyday products.
